The League for People with Disabilities offers individuals the opportunity to gain independence, increase self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life. The League provides custom solutions with innovative programs that meet the unique needs of those with disabilities through programs that support independence, job training, and socialization to meet people where they are and reach their personal goals.

Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. Analyzes agency insurance line of business to ensure adequate protection and mitigate agency risk exposure.

Worked as a Program Substitute at the Boys and Girls Club of Holland serving underprivileged youth and collaborating with other staff members. -Organize activities for approximately 80 children ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade to increase their academic success and social skills. -Coordinate schedules with other staff to ensure there was programming for all kids at a given time.

After merging with Tri-Town, the Boys and Girls Club transitioned a select number of previous staff to their summer program. Overall, my job remained similar and I strengthened my communication and responsibility skills. I also took on the role of an Activity Coordinator, creating schedules, adapting to and creating age-appropriate programs. Furthermore, I applied basic first aid skills, when necessary and was responsible for child care including administration, social and education aspects of child development.
