St. Lawrence Health (SLH) was established in December 2013 with the mission to improve health and to expand access through coordination and integration of services. Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam; Gouverneur Hospital, Gouverneur; and Massena Hospital, Massena, operate under the umbrella of St. Lawrence Health. SLH became an affiliate of Rochester Regional Health (RRH) in January 2021. RRH is an internationally recognized integrated health services organization, and its industry distinctions include year-after-year Healthgrades awards, America’s 50 Best Hospitals™, multiple Magnet® Awards for nursing excellence, and the greatest number of Beacon Awards for Excellence of any hospital system in the nation. Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community hospital certified for 94 beds. Its core programs in emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center are supplemented by outpatient health services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Massena, Norfolk, Norwood, and Potsdam, NY. CPH offers specialty care in over 35 different specialties, including a robust orthopedic surgery and sports medicine program, and the Center for Cancer Care. Gouverneur Hospital, located in its namesake city in Northern New York, is a not-for-profit critical access hospital founded in 2013 and certified for 25 beds. Services include inpatient detox, substance use disorder rehabilitation, behavioral health services, emergency care, imaging and EKGs, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. Massena Hospital is a 25-bed community hospital providing inpatient, medical, and surgical services in addition to emergency care. Adirondack Health offers a full range of medical and surgical services, in addition to primary care at three health centers, and long term care at two skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. The main hospital is a 97-bed acute care facility located across from Lake Colby in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York. AH is the largest health care provider in the six-million acre Adirondack Park, serving the residents of five counties. Our 60-member medical staff is board certified in 21 specialties.

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is a not-for-profit, private community hospital and regional referral center certified for 119 beds, ensuring the nearly 40,000 residents of Ogdensburg, NY and its surrounding communities have access to the lines of service they need most, close to home. Overview: Trudeau Institute is a nonprofit biomedical research enterprise dedicated to immunology and infectious disease research, focusing on deadly pathogens including tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2, Zika, influenza, and tick-borne Powassan virus. Trudeau’s roots are traced to 1884, when Edward Livingston Trudeau launched the first American laboratory solely dedicated to tuberculosis research. The core of our strategy, the Trudeau Research Network (TRN), is expanding the reach of our labs and accelerating our progress discovering and optimizing innovative treatment options against infectious diseases. Partners include Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, global biopharmaceutical companies, and large non-profit global health organizations. Education initiatives include the 15-credit immersive, semester-long Clarkson Trudeau Biomedical Scholars project and the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP). In 2020, Trudeau launched a critical real-time community pandemic response, manufacturing scarce COVID testing fluid for the Adirondack Health Medical Center and sterilizing their N-95 facemasks. With the hospital, Trudeau established a regional COVID Testing Lab for the underserved North Country with the capacity of 1,000 tests daily and equipment essential for Trudeau’s work developing tests for the next outbreak.
