The history of Quizzo Trivia In the early 90's a bar near the University of Pennsylvania began playing a pub trivia game at the New Deck Tavern in Philadelphia. A woman walked in and said "oh is it bingo night?" to which this host (Pat Hine) said "No, it's more like Quiz-O night" and thus the name Quizo or Quizzo was born. The problem was, Quizzo was also a 1960's board game and thus no copy write is available and the name stands as a generic term for "live trivia". TLN created a universal Quizzo game format and began exporting the game outside of NJ/PA in 2005. The Live Network has since brought Quizzo to more than 25 states and Canada. Quizzo has been played in every major chain from Applebee's to TGI Fridays and Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili's, Dave and Busters and many more.
