Children First was founded over 40 years ago to help improve the lives of children by advocating on their behalf and by being a catalyst for positive change. We help to identify and educate the public about children’s needs, insisting that our children become a priority if we as a society, and they as our future, are to survive. Our goals have always been to increase the awareness of children’s needs; increase the resources for children and families; strengthen families and communities in helping children learn and grow and assure implementation of funding of public policies which promote stable children and families. While we educate and advocate on behalf of children across all issues, we undertake specific-focused efforts to improve the health of our children by maximizing access and availability of health care; improve child welfare by targeting efforts to strengthen families; improve the quality and quantity of child care programs; act earlier rather than later in developing, monitoring and disseminating information about in-home programs that work; and improve the chances for troubled and troubling adolescents by seeking out the causes and responses to truancy or delinquency by building alternative programming in communities and developing more and better after-school programs in neighborhoods

As a leading advocate in aging, CARIE’s work advances the health, safety, and dignity of older adults of any and every socioeconomic, racial, cultural, gender, sexuality, and disability background. CARIE’s programs extend to the entire state of Pennsylvania and beyond. We are a leader in providing direct assistance to older adults, their families, and professionals in the aging field. Our programs include: • Ombudsman: Complaint resolution and resident rights representation for long term care residents in Philadelphia • CARIE Line: Free help line providing information and support in addressing issues related to older adults and caregivers • Victim Advocacy: Court accompaniment, advocacy, restorative justice, and therapy for older adult crime victims in Philadelphia • Policy Advocacy: Provides education and advocacy on local, state, and national policy that affects older adults • Senior Medicare Prevention: Protects Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries in Pennsylvania from fraud and abuse

Created sensory-motor based lesson plans based upon the Montessori Methodology. Tracked children's individual progress and provided assistance when needed. Checked and maintained state required child care forms and attended quarterly educational seminars.

Cathedral Kitchen’s mission is to help people out of food insecurity and champion their pursuit of stability and prosperity. Cathedral Kitchen aims to mitigate the harms of poverty and food insecurity through a robust meal program that serves more than 100,000 meals annually, a culinary arts job training program that leads 86% of graduates to employment, and a social enterprise program that provides jobs, community awareness of the issues of hunger and poverty, and a revenue stream for our programming.

Mi Casita Day Care Inc., has been offering services to Camden City residents since its incorporation in 1971. We offer Early Head Star Services as well as Preschool Services. We have a 2:15 student ratio, degreed and certified instructors, bi-lingual education all year around. We have two locations: Mi Casita South-551 Spruce Street and Mi Casita East-2601 Carman Street.
