In 1984, Leon Weiland went into an 800 sq. ft. barn on his farm to go about designing and building the toughest doors for the beef and pork processors around Nebraska and Iowa. The features of would-be competitors that were failing his prospective customers inspired him to deliver something superior. Today Weiland Inc. has moved off the farm into a state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Norfolk, NE.
