Greets all incoming and outgoing patients, family members, visitors, and vendors promptly and courteously whether by phone or in person. Answers and explains hospital / clinic literature and or questions, capture all required signatures for documentation requirements. Collect accurate and thorough patient demographics and insurance information, verifies insurance eligibility, collection of amounts owed and directs individuals to the appropriate areas in a timely efficient courteous manner.
Requires calm rational thinking to meet the customer demands and facility's deadlines within rapidly changing environment. Exposure to numerous personality types requiring sensitivity and conflict resolution skills. A team environment requires total participation by all team members at all times. Demonstrates time management, flexibility, dedication to all team and departmental, company personal, and have solid communication skills either in person, web host, phone, scanning, faxing, or email.
Computer experience with registration, scheduling, inventory ordering, cashier duties, accounting for set up, processing, posting of receipts, electronic, manual collection / billing, and submitting of insurance claims, and complete personal patient records / documentation. Plus manage and balance all office duties for appropriate and efficient clinic, timely flow and operations. Maintain, preform, supervise, and understanding and following hospital, clinic, fire/safety, IT, and HIPPA policies and procedures. Work with in many different computer systems and knowledge in Microsoft applications, EPIC, and Sorian.
