ALTANA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
ALTANA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Billings, Montana
All Size Average employees
It's hard to believe it’s been nearly 70 years since 9 Montana refinery workers pooled their money in a cash box located in an empty box car. It's equally as hard to imagine they could have envisioned the impact they would have on the lives of so many people. The first loan given was used to purchase a sewing machine. The rest, as they say, is history. Thanks to their leap of faith so many years ago, we're here today. Altana Federal Credit Union – Laurel Federal Credit Union, at the time – has grown to support people and families who live, work and worship in seven counties in Montana. Today, we help people build their dream home, purchase their first vehicle, and save for college or retirement. What hasn’t changed over the last 60 years is the cooperative spirit that was the cornerstone of that first meeting. Their vision and philosophy - a desire to promote thrift and savings in an effort to improve the financial lives of members and their families - is alive and well. We believe the growth and well-being of our communities will continue to remain bright as long as people continue to hold sacred this spirit of cooperation. Federally insured by NCUA.

VALLEY FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION
VALLEY FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION
Billings, Montana
All Size Average employees
Since 1949, Valley Credit Union has proudly served citizens within the Big Sky Country, which now includes 11 counties across Montana and Wyoming. From the beginning, we were founded on the promise to provide accommodating, personalized service, as well as top-notch financial services to our members. Those founding principles are the same driving force that still directs our mission today. Above all else, our primary motivation is always you. As a not-for-profit organization, we truly operate for the well being of our members. Unlike customers who just use the services of a financial institution, credit union members become part owners. And any profit generated is automatically put back into Valley Federal Credit Union to pay dividends, build reserves, and pay operating expenses. In that way, being a part of a credit union is really more like being a part of a close-knit family — one that functions for the betterment of all parties involved. If you are already a member of the Valley family, we'd like to thank you for your commitment to us. If you're not, we'd like to invite you to join a credit union that revolves around its members.
