Since its creation in 1922, MHA has grown from 50 to more than 150 member hospitals. As a not-for-profit membership association, MHA represents every acute care hospital in the state, as well as most of the federal and state hospitals and rehabilitation and psychiatric care facilities. Just as our member hospitals have broadened their scope to embrace the continuum of health care services, MHA also has expanded its services to members throughout its history. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its members, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public and the media, as well as legislative representatives, about health care issues.

The Missouri Bankers Association is the principal advocate for the Missouri banking industry. MBA's membership includes commercial banks and savings and loan associations that represents more than 2,000 banking locations and more than 30,000 bank employees in Missouri. In addition to state and federal advocacy, MBA provides products and services benefiting its members. Any national or state bank that accepts demand deposits and makes commercial loans in Missouri and is supervised by the Missouri Division of Finance or the Comptroller of the Currency may become an active member of the MBA. Likewise, any savings and loan, federal savings bank or trust company located within Missouri may join MBA.

The Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MOCADSV) empowers individuals with the tools and resources that change lives. Since 1980, MOCADSV has been the statewide leader of individuals and organizations working to end rape and abuse in Missouri. Today MOCADSV’s mission remains focused on the work of “uniting Missourians with a common value that rape and abuse must end,and advances this through education, alliance, research and public policy. MOCADSV provides opportunities to engage in and meaningfully address domestic and sexual violence issues at a statewide level. We provide a positive connection to the issue that makes people feel like they’re part of something substantial—they don’t have to confront, manage or struggle with violence alone. We advocate to secure money for programs helping survivors,work to advance laws that protect Missourians, and ensure advocates are trained on evidence-based and data-driven practices. MOCADSV continues to be nationally and internationally recognized for our innovation in tackling the chronic questions and problems faced by domestic and sexual violence programs. The Association is the voice of the trucking industry in Missouri and Washington. We are the advocates for legislation that will impact our industry. The Association also responds to state and federal agencies on industry matters and assist the membership with situations they encounter.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The Missouri Independent Bankers Association is an organization of small and medium-sized banks, locally owned, operated and dedicated to meeting the financial needs of their communities. The MIBA is dedicated to the belief that these independent community banks are better able to fully serve their communities than any other financial institution. It is the purpose of the Missouri Independent Bankers Association to protect Missouri's banking system from trends toward concentration of economic and financial power into fewer hands, such trends being contrary to ideal government by the people and the system of checks and balances designed to prevent centralization of political power. The MIBA is dedicated to the preservation of banking law and structure which will assure the continued survival and prosperity of Missouri's independent banks. BRIEF HISTORY The MIBA was organized in 1959 after the 1958 statewide referendum on branch banking. Independent banking prevailed in the referendum battle, and branch banking was defeated by a 2 1/2 to 1 margin. Since that time, the MIBA has represented the interests of its membership in Jefferson City on issues of vital importance in both the Legislative and regulatory arenas. The MIBA was the first statewide independent bankers association to be formed and is the oldest state independent bankers association in the United States.
