The addition of Thomas Leighton and Martin (Marty) Wiese shortly thereafter gave Hawk a wealth of experience in floor machine manufacturing. Prior to Hawk Enterprises, Tom Kershner, Tom Leighton, and Marty Wiese all gained experience in the industry through their lengthy careers at the Kent Company. Tom Kershner served as Plant Manager for 24 years. Tom Leighton was the Industrial Engineering Manager for 14 years before becoming the Manager of Production Engineering for 10 years. Marty Wiese served as Chief Engineer for 31 years. Tom Kershner, Jr. joined the business in 2003. A Purdue University graduate, Tom’s fifteen years of engineering, supervision, and managerial experience served to further enhance and expand business operations. His wife, Julie Kershner, joined the company in 2007. A Purdue graduate as well, she is currently serving as Office Manager.
