HISTORYThe United Bank of Chamois opened their doors on Monday, September 23, 1935. It was a joint venture of the Bank of Chamois and Peoples Bank of Chamois. The Cashier and assistant cashier were A. A. Schmudde and R.H. Pahmeier, respectively.Effective September 28, 2007 another merger was finalized. A community minded group of investors from the Washington, Marthasville, Union, MO areas decided they would like to partner with United Bank of Chamois Stockholders to form a bank that could expand into their areas. Their goal was to reclaim "community banking" for their areas. The new holding company that was formed is Heritage Management Company, Inc. The holding company has retained the full service bank in Chamois, Marthasville, and has now opened new facilities in Union and Washington. These banks are known as HERITAGE COMMUNITY BANK.As we have changed so have the needs of our customers. Everything has become faster paced.
