TC/AMERICAN CRANE COMPANY
TC/AMERICAN CRANE COMPANY
Elk River, Minnesota
51-200 employees
TC/American Crane Comapny: was formed in 1990 by the merger of Twin City Monorail and American Monorail. American Monorail had manufactured industrial material handling systems since 1925, Twin City Monorail since 1959. Both companies produced a complementary line of patented track monorails, underrunning and interlocking cranes, as well as stacker cranes, unit handling systems and aircraft maintenance systems. In October, 1990, Spanmaster was acquired and became a part of TC/A. Spanmaster had supplied overhead material handling equipment for more than 30 years, with special emphasis upon integration of crane systems into new and existing metal building systems. Patented track rail with various tread widths and in sizes for systems up to 40 ton capacity or more are available. The two outstanding features of TC/A’s systems are the patented track construction and a fully articulated trolley design. The rail tee section is precision rolled, high grade steel with a flat, raised tread on the 325 and 450 series tee; articulated trolleys provide for uniform wheel loads. Together, these features result in a long lived, easy operating system. TC/A supplies material handling equipment to a host of major industries such as automotive, aerospace, aircraft, and steel, routinely serving Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Our engineering staff is equipped to handle all manner of design projects, standard or specialized. Years of experience in the overhead crane industry, combined with our Computer Aided Design capabilities, enable TC/A to produce state-of-the-art systems that are second to none.
