The IFO is recognized as the official representative of faculty at the seven MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) schools: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University-Mankato, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, St. Cloud State University, Southwest Minnesota State University (Marshall), and Winona State University. The IFO appoints faculty nmemebers who serve on MnSCU committees and present faculty concerns to the administration through the Meet and Confer process. The Faculty Association on each campus represents the faculty in local governance. Areas of IFO advocacy include negotations, contract enforcement, equity advocacy, MnSCU budget monitoring, academic affairs, government relations, and retirement.

The Florida Wildflower Foundation protects, connects and expands native wildflower habitats through education, research, planting and conservation.

Metropolitan Regional Arts Council improves arts access for Twin Cities metro communities through grants, trainings, resources, and advocacy for artists and organizations.

At the Family Housing Fund, we believe building a better Minnesota starts from the ground up- it starts with a place to call home. And it requires all of us, working together, to build a strong housing system that supports access to decent, affordable housing for everyone. When families have a decent, affordable place to call home, they have opportunities to build their own success stories and contribute to their communities. Established in 1980, the Family Housing Fund supports the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the Metropolitan Council, and Minnesota Housing in their efforts to meet the region’s affordable housing needs. Originally created by The McKnight Foundation and the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the Fund serves the entire Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area. We work in a field with many peers, allies, and collaborative partners. We believe Family Housing Fund is different in three specific ways: 1) Big picture: our breadth in perspective and relationships throughout the Twin Cities region gives us an unmatched view of the housing system. 2) Bold influence: We use flexible organizational resrouces to convert new ideas into solutions that benefit families by identifying and exploring emerging issues, piloting market interventions, and embedding interventions for systems change. 3) Balanced perspective: We support all types of affordable housing and value everyone working on housing solutions. Our knowledge of housing-related markets and public policies lead to authentic and practical relationships. Our Goals: 1) Increase Supply- preserve and produce more units more cost effectively. 2) Expand Opportunities- ensure low- and moderate-income families have greater access to opportunities to live in healthy, affordable homes. 3) Activate Champions- establish a bench of housing champions to take coordinated actions toward housing solutions.

Our vision: Through leadership, relevance, diversity, education and innovation we will impact our community by advancing the economy, enhance our members’ success and improve quality of life. The Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1969, is a business organization. As the Eden Prairie connection to business and community, we offer various programs, volunteer opportunities and experiences for Chamber Members and Eden Prairie citizens and students. Run by staff members, and the organization is overseen by the Board of Directors. We hope to provide our membership and those businesses who are not yet members the opportunities to grow and succeed in Eden Prairie and the surrounding areas. Our membership is currently at about 540 and continues to grow. We typically see over 6,000 attendees at events and programs annually.

Partnered with senior management to streamline the recruiting process with an emphasis on hiring the best possible candidate. Improved recruitment, orientation and training programs to maximize performance and retention. In conjunction with the Board of Directors, developed strategic plans on organizational, change management, fund development and staffing issues. Developed databases to track EEO data, interviews and applicant tracking. Periodically updated the employee information manual and personnel policies to ensure compliance with changing federal and state regulations. Worked with the team to create positive donor experiences including press releases, social media campaigns and radio spots.

BOMA Greater Minneapolis (Building Owners & Managers Association) is a trade association representing the interests of commercial real estate in Minneapolis and its suburbs. We are one of 100 North American and nine overseas affiliates of BOMA International. Native Governance Center is a Native American-led nonprofit organization that assists Native nations in strengthening their systems of governance and capacity to exercise sovereignty. We opened our doors in January 2016 in response to a need identified by Tribal leaders from the 23 Native nations that share geography with Mni Sota Makoce, North Dakota, and South Dakota. These leaders asked for an organization that would meet the increasing demand for Indigenous governance and leadership development resources in the region. We work to meet this demand by teaching a Native nation rebuilding approach. Our on-the-ground experience and our deep understanding of academic research tell us that Native nation rebuilding is a powerful strategy for transforming lives. The rebuilding framework consists of five research-based strategies for strengthening Indigenous governance. Native nations with stronger governance systems are better able to use their sovereignty to determine their own future and improve their quality of life. To this end, we’re working to cultivate a Native nation rebuilding movement; we envision this movement leading to a future where all Indigenous people can thrive on their own terms. We see abundance, restoration, community building, brainstorming, and centering Indigeneity as elements of this new future. To further the movement, our organization provides Native nations with customized resources, learning experiences, and technical assistance related to Indigenous governance. We also train Indigenous changemakers through our Native Nation Rebuilders program, a program founded on Indigenous values and real-life leadership and governance success stories. Finally, we help our greater community better understand the concepts fundamental to our work; we know we won’t fully meet our goals without broad public support.
