We created Lansing Urgent Care from a desire to offer you a refreshing solution to an often inefficient, overpriced and stressful healthcare system. Though your primary care physician is always your best first contact for your health needs, primary physicians are often overburdened which leads to appointment delays at the moment you need care. The emergency room is an over utilized, expensive and stressful place to seek healthcare when you don’t have a true emergency. In fact, the cost of care received at the ER is approximately 700% higher than similar care received at an urgent care! We offer a solution. Our philosophy: See you at your convenience Provide top level care without top level pricing Be ever mindful that your time is valuable Create a warm and relaxed environment Include you in the medical decision process Treat you as we would treat our own Lansing Urgent Care promises you premier care in an unrivaled urgent care setting. Enjoy free Wi-Fi. Your favorite shows are a click away as each room is equipped with a flat screen cable television. Many medications are available right on site for your convenience to eliminate the need to spend additional time at the pharmacy. We have digital X-ray and rapid lab testing on site, and our average door to door times are under an hour (compared with 3-4 hours at an emergency center). Experience healthcare where we never forget that we’re here to serve you. It’s our pleasure to care for you.

As an insurance verification specialist, I check the insurance of each patient that comes through our facility to make sure their coverage is active, make sure their benefits cover our facility, see if any additional documentation such as authorizations are required, and put together an estimated cost. I also communicate with doctors offices and patients when needed regarding insurance needs and fees. In addition, I help keep record higher cost procedure to track the coverage of certain insurances as well as profits and losses. I also aid in admitting patients upon arrival, conduct Covid screenings, and other duties the front desk may need help with. If caught up with the above mentioned tasks, I do help the medical records department with auditing charts to ensure that all required documents and signatures are present. There are many moments at my current position where I help fellow colleagues with any IT issues they may have within my scope of permissions on our computer system. This includes: complications with printers on our network, SharePoint access, and a variety of troubleshooting from re-booting to new desktop set-ups.
