GMA Industries is one of the industry’s leading manufacturer and distributor of virgin and remanufactured abrasives. GMA offers a wide assortment of abrasives for shot blasting, shot preening, surface cleaning and preparation. For over 40 years, GMA has delivered top quality abrasive media across all industries. Operations specialize in manufacturing brown fused aluminum oxide, as well as recycling brown fused aluminum oxide, white aluminum oxide, steel shot and grit. Brown fused aluminum oxide is manufactured through crushing and screening 100% certified virgin crude material. GMA’s recycling program utilizes spent abrasive that is no longer usable due to size and/or contaminants, and processes it through a series of cleaning and filtering. The finished remanufactured product is comparable in structure and performance to virgin material. GMA is partnered with Ervin Industries to supply NU SOFT steel shot, and is currently the Southeast Michigan Distributor for Ervin’s Amasteel Cast Steel Shot and Amacast Stainless Steel Shot. Abrasive material users benefit from GMA’s products through cost efficient options (virgin or recycled) that meet industry specification standards including ANSI, SAE, and FEPA. GMA also operates a Spent Material Program for abrasive users looking to dispose of used aluminum oxide, steel shot or grit. Based on the quality and quantity of the material, GMA will purchase and recycle the used abrasives. This program allows companies to becoming more ‘green’, save time & hassle coordinating the disposal of material, and turn the disposal process in to a profit source.
