Inspire Arts & Music (IAM) is a not-for-profit organization whose programs seek to develop and ‘inspire’ young adults via both scholastic and non-scholastic activities. The vehicle we use to do this is a portfolio of performing arts programs, and our mission is to help them develop and demonstrate the qualities needed to achieve excellence in both their program and their personal lives. IAM member programs are generally related to performing arts with a current focus on music, dance and marching arts. We have both competitive and non-competitive programs, and each program has its own performance venues and schedule. Direct and oversee leadership, strategy and administration of a nine full member and seven affiliate member NCAA Division III athletic conference with 19 championships. Steer all aspects of business operations of the organization as well as manage governance, compliance and enforcement, championships, student-athlete recognition programs and facilitate NCAA Strategic Initiative Grant compliance by member institutions. Build and establish consensus, promoting the league and its athletes. Interface with presidents, athletic directors, coaches, commissioners and NCAA staff to advocate on behalf of the league and its interests. Drive human resources (HR) functions, including sourcing, onboarding and training of staff and annual performance reviews. Oversee benefits administration, including plan selection, worker’s compensation and P&C insurance.
