CEA is the largest advocate for students and public education in Connecticut. Our members include preschool through grade 12 teachers in Connecticut public schools as well as retired teachers and college students preparing to become teachers.

We’re a global girls’ rights organization. Powered by supporters, we partner with adolescent girls and their communities to overcome oppression and gender inequality. We provide the resources that are unique to their needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential with dignity, opportunity and safety. Our unique development approach is called GirlEngage. We let girls become the drivers of the change they want and need in their lives. It is a strategy focused on adolescent girls ages 10-18 that makes it possible for girls themselves to lead our programs – from designing projects, to leading activities, to measuring success.

NEIWPCC [NŪ-Ē-PĬK] is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality. We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise. We develop, coordinate, and conduct training courses for wastewater and other water quality professionals regionally and nationwide. We conduct research into water-related topics, monitor environmental factors, and fund such work by others. We also implement and fund environmental restoration and other on-the-ground projects. We fund and/or staff programs that engage the public through events, exhibits, web and print publications, and other outreach activities. We actively represent the interests of member states at meetings with federal and state officials and in regional and national water and wastewater associations. Proteus Fund is a public foundation that partners with foundations, advocates and individual donors to advance democracy, human rights and peace. Founded in 1994, Proteus has awarded over $120 million and managed over $50 million in grants towards the realization of a just, equitable and democratic world. Founded in 1964, HopeWell is a nonprofit social services agency headquartered in metro Boston with regional offices across Massachusetts. Our mission is the driving force behind everything we do: We enrich the lives and expand the opportunities of children, adults, and families in need of love, support and safe places to grow and thrive. HopeWell’s programs provide a range of critical services to individuals, children, and families across Massachusetts. We are the largest nonprofit provider of foster care in the state. Our programs also support education outcomes for students in grades K-3 who are experiencing foster care; young adults who are transitioning out of the foster care system as they launch into adulthood; families who are working to stay together; and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For six decades, we have aimed to be leaders in care and a force for good.

MISSION STATEMENT The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education and prevention of cruelty.

Riverside Industries, Inc., was founded in June 1968 by a small group of bold and progressive individuals who sought a better life for their family members living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, Riverside employs nearly 130 people (direct support professionals, van drivers, occupational and physical therapists, and administrative staff) and provides individualized services to over 160 clients throughout Western Massachusetts. Riverside’s core program combines day habilitation, life skill development, job skill training, transition services for students beginning at age 14, and individual or group employment options for adults living with a wide range of disabilities. Riverside’s mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize their opportunities for acceptance, independence, personal growth, and employment throughout their lives.

For over 120 years, The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) has responded to the needs of animals and the people who care about them. In fact, we are often the first to respond. With over 1,000 dedicated volunteers and 100 staff members, ARL lends unwavering support to local animals, families, and neighborhoods. We provide outstanding veterinary care, adoption, and field services. We also confront the root causes of animal cruelty and neglect through special police investigation and advocacy aimed at strengthening the laws that protect animals. Last year alone, we served more than 23,900 animals in need. Today, we increasingly focus on prevention and the impact we can have on more animals; keeping them out of shelters and in the communities where they belong. This ambitious call to action is reflected in our new vision for the future. ARL does not receive government grants or public funding (with the exception of limited COVID-19 relief funding) and relies on the generosity of our supporters to help animals in need. Our Mission: Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts (ASNCM) provides comprehensive information and quality services so that older people, individuals with disabilities and their families are empowered to make personalized choices to ensure a life of dignity, safety, and respect. Coupled with our commitment to continuous quality improvement and service excellence is our over 40 years of experience in the aging and home care fields. ASNCM offers comprehensive assessments and coordination of quality long-term care, which is consumer-oriented, cost-effective, and supports the autonomy and well being of the elderly and disabled. We are a private, non-profit agency, incorporated in 1974, that employs nurses and social workers to assist those who need help to remain independent in their own homes in safety, comfort, and dignity. Our major source of funding is the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, which oversees several programs designed to promote independent living for the elderly and support for their caregivers through a statewide network of ASAPs. We also receive funding from the Division of Medical Assistance which allows us to offer a range of services to younger disabled adults as well as elders.
