Citizens for Citizens, Inc. (CFC) is a Community Action Agency headquartered in Fall River, MA. Incorporated in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act to serve as the Community Action Agency of Greater Fall River, CFC now serves the vast majority of Bristol County, providing a wide range of services to over 34,000 clients. Major programs include LIHEAP, Weatherization, Head Start, Family Planning, and Food Pantry. CFC is funded by a variety of sources, including the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). CFC's mission is to advocate on behalf of low-income residents and address the causes and effects of poverty through the provision of direct and integrated services, the promotion of self-sufficiency, and the advancement of social change.

Habilitation Assistance provides an array of services for individuals and their families in Southeastern Massachusetts. Services offered are: -- Therapeutic day supports for adults with developmental disabilities, specializing in meaningful community involvement, including speech language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing services and supports, behavior therapy; -- Transportation services via our transportation division, Access Express, offering a safe, dependable and accessible transportation service to accommodate a variety of situations, i.e. limousine, charter/group trips, executive transportation, courier services, medical transport, taxi and para-transit.

Incorporated on June 21, 1965, Self Help, Inc., like most other existing Community Action Agencies was established during President Lyndon Johnson's “War on Poverty.” Self Help has been in existence for 39 years and currently serves residents in 31 Commonwealth of Massachusetts cities and towns located in Plymouth, Bristol and Norfolk counties. Annually we serve over 15,000 households that are located in our service area and provide programs and services designed to meet the most pressing needs of residents of our service area. Self Help has a history rich in community involvement and positive community change. Some programs such as Head Start have been with us since 1965 and continue to grow and impact low-income families with preschool children. Other programs such as Fuel Assistance, Community Partnerships for Children and Lead Abatement services were developed to meet specific needs identified in our service area through Community Action Planning.
