U A LOCAL UNION OFFICERS & EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND
U A LOCAL UNION OFFICERS & EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND
Annapolis, Maryland
500+ employees
The United Association National Pension Fund (UANPF) was established in July 1968 to provide retirement benefits for employees who are represented by the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentice plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders (United Association) or by a United Association Local Union or District Council. The Plan is a collectively bargained plan funded by a Taft-Hartley trust fund. The Fund maintains a multiemployer defined benefit pension plan funded solely by employer contributions and investment earnings. The contributions are made in accordance with collective bargaining agreements or other participation agreements. Participants do not have individual money accounts with the Fund and do not make employee contributions. Rather, contributions made by employers are deposited into the trust fund to provide for defined retirement benefits, payable to eligible participants in accordance with the Plan. The Plan includes many jurisdictions throughout the U.S, but not all jurisdictions in which there is a United Association Local Union choose to participate in the Plan. Bargaining units are allowed to join at different times and their contribution rates vary. As a participant of the Plan, you can look forward to receiving a benefit at retirement once you meet the requirements for a pension. Along with Social Security and personal savings, the National Pension Plan can provide you with a solid financial foundation at retirement.

Key School engages children from 2.5 years of age through grade 12 in a progressive, coeducational, college-preparatory program on its picturesque 15-acre campus located 4 miles from downtown Annapolis, Maryland. Established in 1958, Key School is the oldest pre-school through grade twelve nonsectarian independent school in Anne Arundel County. Mission: The School is founded upon the conviction that children are innately curious about themselves and the world; they want to learn, they want to discover, and they want to create. The School’s role is to nourish and guide this natural exuberance, energy, and delight in the search for meaning, so that each student may develop into an informed, thoughtful and constructive member of society, with a lifelong commitment to learning. Academic Philosophy: Key School's program is designed to develop independent thinkers, creative innovators, effective collaborators, tenacious problem-solvers, and articulate leaders while cultivating in its students a deep sense of purpose, accountability and intrinsic motivation. Through active participation in both academic and co-curricular programs, Key’s Mission is designed to develop the whole person. Promoting a common interest in diverse endeavors that extend beyond the traditional classroom, the School enriches the lives of its students and encourages growth in multiple arenas. Key’s distinctive programs enhance intellectual development, promote leadership skills, and foster a passion for life-long learning. The adults on campus honor the intelligence and capacity of the students and the students, in turn, create genuine and long-lasting connections with their teachers. Mutual respect, teachers to students and students to teachers, is a hallmark of Key School.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) fights for bold and creative solutions to the pollution that plagues the Bay and its tributaries. When necessary, we use legal means to force compliance with existing laws. We restore the Bay's essential habitats and filtering mechanisms, such as forests, wetlands, underwater grasses, and oysters, through a variety of hands-on projects. Finally, CBF's environmental education program introduces residents to the wonders of the watershed and works to heighten sensitivity, increase knowledge, and empower citizens to take positive action toward the Bay's restoration.
