The Louisiana Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association representing all types of hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the state. The LHA carries out its mission by providing services and resources to members through advocacy, education, research, representation, and communication.

In 1978, the Varsity Club was formed as a division within the LSU Athletic Department to assist in raising private funds to support the LSU Athletic Program. The Varsity Club was then replaced by Tigers Unlimited, a Louisiana nonprofit corporation, in 1983 and Tigers Unlimited was granted 501(c)3 status in 1984. Tigers Unlimited reorganized and amended its Articles of Incorporation to formally change its name to Tiger Athletic Foundation in 1987. For 30 years, Tiger Athletic Foundation’s members have enhanced the lives of every student-athletes on every team by providing financial resources for programs and facilities that ensure the opportunity to win in the classroom, in competition, and in life. We were there when Warren Morris hit the walk-off homerun to win the 1996 College World Series. We were there in 2016, when LSU Gymnastics finished a historic season by finishing number two in the country. When student-athlete graduation rates increased by 18% in 2016, we were there. The Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) was formed in 1959 to promote a positive business climate for chemical manufacturing that ensures long-term economic growth for its 63 member companies that operate more than 100 sites throughout Louisiana. LCA, Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance and related organizations work to protect and expand Louisiana’s petrochemical manufacturing base. It is critical for the industry to have a unified voice in state governmental activities because legislative and regulatory actions can affect capital investment and job retention and growth. LCA is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of 17 member company representatives, primarily plant managers and divisional vice presidents. The LSU Alumni Association, is privately funded and supports the university in the pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and public service to future and current alumni through scholarships, professorships, social and professional networking events. The alumni association is supported through self-generated income and donations from future alumni, graduates, former students, faculty and friends of the university. These contributions directly support university programs, special projects and over 350 prestigious scholarships for prospective students around the world. ABOUT US Pelican Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) was incorporated in April 1980 from the outgrowth of the Merit Shop in Louisiana and the need to adequately service the construction industry throughout the State. It has developed into a statewide, diverse, non-profit, trade association of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and associates who have joined together to advance the construction industry by aggressively supporting the merit shop philosophy and the free enterprise alliance. The Pelican Chapter, ABC now has 480 members and covers 52 parishes in the State of Louisiana. MISSION To promote and protect the Merit Shop Philosophy and the principles of the free enterprise system in the construction industry. The Association will achieve the mission by enhancing the image of the construction industry and by providing craft training, political influence, and business opportunities for all of our members. We will be positioned so that others seek us out for our position on construction-related industry issues and opportunities.

Girl Scouts Louisiana East is a leadership development organization for girls, K-12th grade, in 23 parishes in southeast Louisiana. Headquartered in New Orleans with a Regional Service Center in Baton Rouge, Girl Scouts Louisiana East serves nearly 13,000 girls and 5,500 adults in the parishes of Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. United Way is about advancing the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.
