The Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana is a federally recognized Tribe. Our current home is the Chitimacha Reservation near Charenton, Louisiana, although we once occupied about one-third of what is now Louisiana, as some of the original inhabitants of the Atchafalaya Basin, Mississippi River Delta and the Gulf Coast. We are a sovereign nation governed by our Tribal Council. Our government operates similar to other governments, providing services to enrolled tribal members and infrastructure for our community.

Girl Scouts Louisiana East is a leadership development organization for girls, K-12th grade, in 23 parishes in southeast Louisiana. Headquartered in New Orleans with a Regional Service Center in Baton Rouge, Girl Scouts Louisiana East serves nearly 13,000 girls and 5,500 adults in the parishes of Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. Its mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Arc of St. Charles is a non-profit organization located in Boutte, La. We are a service provider catering to the needs of children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We service residents of the River Parishes, Terrebonne, Lafourche, and St. Mary Parish.
