I am primarily a civil litigation attorney, with a focus on insurance defense and general commercial litigation. In addition to defending insurers and insureds in traditional tort lawsuits, a significant portion of my insurance practice includes coverage defense and company defense against bad faith claims. A smaller portion of my insurance practice is in non-litigated SIU matters. I handle all aspects of litigated disputes, from the initial appearance through trial. In the last five years, I have tried over 40 cases to verdict in district courts across Louisiana. I also represent insurance companies and commercial clients in appellate matters. I have experience representing clients in both arbitration and mediation, including matters governed by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). My plaintiff's personal injury practice is focused on preparing and arguing critical pretrial motions for my partners, including Daubert motions, dispositive motions, and motions in limine. The handful of plaintiff's personal injury cases I have handled from intake through trial have resulted in an aggregate recovery of more than $750,000 for my clients. In addition to my civil practice, I also maintain a criminal defense practice, representing individuals charged with misdemeanors or felonies in parish and state district courts in the Baton Rouge area.
