We do this through a holistic approach to funding which includes capacity building, sustainability programming, female empowerment and international advocacy. Brooke USA connects private philanthropists with their passion for helping relieve the suffering of working equines and their owners. Brooke USA raises funds to support a wide variety of programs for working horses, donkeys and mules to help them become (and remain) healthy and happy now and in the long-term, which also benefits the very poor families who depend on those animals to help them earn a living.

Plan and execute a Labor-to-Labor voter outreach programs for state and federal elections, including union member targeting, resource coordination, and the management of 30+ temporary staff each election cycle. Lead the organization of grassroots, citizen lobbying programs of the Kentucky General Assembly: developing talking points, rapid response programs for constituent calls and emails, digital communications, and planning “lobby days” for diverse groups of union members to visit the legislative session, learn about the process, and meet with their legislators.

Founded in 1995, Bluegrass Land Conservancy is a community-supported, nonprofit, accredited land trust working to protect land in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky through permanent conservation easements. We seek to ensure a future where the region’s distinctive soils, cultural heritage, scenic vistas, natural resources, and farms are preserved for future generations. Thanks to increasing community support, the Conservancy has permanently protected over 32,000 acres.
