SATURDAY KNIGHT LTD.
SATURDAY KNIGHT LTD.
Cincinnati, Ohio
25-49 employees
It all started when the search for a unique shower curtain design proved non-existent. In 1975 Saturday Knight LTD. produced its first shower curtain in a small garage in Cincinnati Ohio. From there SKL was born and quickly became a leader in the production of shower curtains, embroidered towels, designer rugs, home and bath accessories, and window treatments. With an in-house design and manufacturing team we owned the process from start to finish. We continued to gain significant share in the bath industry by introducing bath accessories and rugs to be sold as coordinates with our shower curtains or as separate free-standing designs. We used our expertise in design and technique to add window curtains and kitchen textiles to our fashion offering. Today we are recognized as the premier industry leader for our creative accessory designs for bath, kitchen, and windows. Roots starting in a small garage, grew to designing and selling to every major US retailer, while remaining nimble enough to produce and service smaller distribution outlets across the country. Our ability to create on trend designs, quality products, and utilize a growing global supply chain have allowed us to continue to be category leaders.

Our story begins with a man and an idea that defines the American Dream. On February 4, 1947, Goodman Tasman, better known to his friends as "Goodie", started a cattle hide processing company in Louisville, Kentucky. Upon depleting the remaining finances of his G.I. bill, Goodman ran the first weeks production yielding only four hides. In the years that followed, Goodman and his youngest son Norman watched their family operation flourish as the production of four hides increased to the current Tasman production of approximately 160,000 hides per week, making us the largest independent cattle hide processor in the world. Since our founding in 1947, Tasman Industries has become a global leader in the cattle hide and finished leather business by emphasizing a commitment to producing the finest salted hides and finished leather in the world. Our desire to constantly innovate and our dedication to our clients are what motivate us. The Tasman family is devoted to ensuring the satisfaction of all our clients and supplying the best quality products available. Products we are proud to call "TASMAN." In February, of 2011, the Tasman Family purchased the formerly known Prime Tanning in Hartland, Maine, making this the company's 2nd Tannery in the USA and the completion of their vertical integration in the Leather industry. With the addition of our tannery business, finished leather goods and Tasman Natural Pet and Thoroughbred Leather lines our company has grown to encompass a multitude of products with offices and operations spanning four countries and distribution throughout the globe.
