At Community Alliance, our sole focus is, and always has been on adults with mental illness. Since 1981, this fact has separated us from more traditional social service agencies and treatment centers in the Omaha area. We are an organization of over 250 dedicated, concerned professionals and volunteers who believe in the potential of recovery for all individuals with a mental illness and we dedicate all our resources to support the journey of each individual we serve. We work to provide programs and opportunities to encourage individuals to develop the strengths and skills to deal with their mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder. Additionally, we serve as an advocate with doctors, social service networks, and throughout the community. We go outside the walls of the hospital and our own facilities to support people in their own neighborhoods and communities, where the strengths and confidences we have helped them develop can be put into practice. We advocate with government and others for greater access to the life-restoring services and needed policy changes that can ease the journey being traveled by so many individuals with mental illness and their families. And we work to help erase the stigma and myths that still surround mental illness and which still serve as roadblocks along the road to recovery.

MANHATTAN SURGICAL HOSPITAL, LLC
MANHATTAN SURGICAL HOSPITAL, LLC
Manhattan, Kansas
100-499 employees
OUR STORY Manhattan Surgical Hospital was established in 2001 with a commitment to patient satisfaction and elite medical care. We are able to offer first-rate care by being responsive to the needs of the growing patient population in northeast central Kansas and by efficiently providing the best quality of care. Additionally, being the only physician-owned hospital in the area sets us apart because our medical staff has a direct investment in the quality of care you receive. This ensures you are treated with the respect, dignity, and compassion you deserve. "Physician ownership leads to increased physician involvement in each patient's care," said Dr. James McAtee, an orthopaedic surgeon and chairman of the hospital's seven-member Committee of Managers. “We take ownership of every process, which leads to a better experience for the patient.” Our facility is comprised of six operating rooms, 13 inpatient rooms, three endoscopy suites, and two pain management treatment rooms, all equipped with cutting-edge medical technology. Our friendly staff is ready to care for you following a surgery or procedure, or answer any questions you may have along the way. Please explore our website to learn more about what Manhattan Surgical Hospital has to offer. Satisfied Customers A recent survey from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services found that 93% of MSH patients would recommend its services to friends and family. We're proud to point out that this percentage is far higher than the 74% for hospitals in Kansas and 69% for all U.S. hospitals. We believe our rate of patient satisfaction can be attributed to quality care, open and honest pre- and post-procedure communication, and a nearly 1-to-1 ratio of caregivers to patients. MSH prides itself on getting to know each patient prior to the procedure and continuing that relationship in the days and weeks following surgery.
