Respite Connection offers respite care, supported community living services and mental health therapy. Our team creates individualized services to fit your family’s schedule, preferences and needs. Families and direct care providers set their own schedule together and communicate directly with each other. This allows for flexibility in scheduling without having to call our office. Families can refer family members or family friends for employment, allowing them to work with someone they already know and trust. When we match your family with a staff, your Service Supervisor will have an in-person introductory meeting to ensure your staff know everything needed to provide great care. Together, we create life-changing wishes for children in Iowa with critical illnesses.

Since 1992 Central Iowa Shelter & Services’, (CISS) mission is to provide low-barrier shelter, meals and support services at no cost to adults experiencing homelessness and to facilitate their move toward self-sufficiency. Approximately 2,000 women and men experiencing homelessness have received emergency shelter and supportive services to help them move beyond homelessness each year. CISS is equipped to provide expanded emergency shelter (150 beds); expanded transitional housing for Veterans (19 rooms); and 38 Project Based Section 8 Voucher efficiency apartments. Along with expanded housing capacity, CISS also provides an on-site health clinic, food pantry, clothing closet, classrooms, and a 30-foot growing dome. All guests and residents are provided evening and breakfast meals; access to shower and laundry facilities, a weekly medical clinic, and group counseling; as well as individualized case management, life skills instruction, and referrals to other community services/benefits. Community Living Services is a Not-for-Profit agency serving individuals with Developmental Disablities. • Prepare monthly Revenue/Expense reports, and Financial Statements. • Monitor individual budgets and the administrative budget. • Provide accounts payable and receivable function and oversees payroll. • Capability to take on a newly created position as a budget coordinator providing me with the skills to work with very little instruction and leadership.

The Family Planning Council of Iowa connects you to family planning and contraceptive resources, as well as federally funded clinics across Iowa. Through the federal Title X Family Planning Program, the Council’s service area covers 55 of Iowa’s 99 counties. We subcontract with agencies to provide clinical services and to facilitate community education programs in local communities throughout Iowa.
