ProKids’ vision is a safe, permanent and nurturing home for every child. For 32 years, ProKids has been advocating for abused and neglected children by mobilizing our community to break the vicious cycle of child abuse and neglect. We recruit, train, and support community volunteers to speak up for children who have been abused and neglected, and help guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. The heart of this effort is our CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers. Each CASA volunteer is assigned to a foster child – making sure the child is safe, that the child’s needs are being met, and helping each child move into a safe, permanent and nurturing home as quickly as possible. For more than a decade, 99% of children represented by ProKids were free from abuse while in the foster care system.

The Youth Service Bureau is a not for profit organization, located in Portland, Indiana. Multiple Programs are available to clients in surrounding counties.

Established in 1982, Life Centers is a faith based, non-profit organization based in Central Indiana dedicated to affirming the value of life by providing compassionate care to women facing unplanned pregnancies in Central Indiana. Committed staff and volunteers across our five pregnancy centers provide free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, one-on-one peer counseling, and post-abortive support. Additionally, we meet the material needs of expectant mothers by providing maternity and baby clothing, diapers, bottles and other baby items. Life Centers was formerly known as Central Indiana Crisis Pregnancy Centers.

Fighting cancer is tough enough, but it's even harder when you don't have medical insurance or the resources to afford proper care. Little Red Door Cancer Agency strives to make the most of life and the least of cancer, by reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of cancer for the medically underserved residents of Central Indiana.

Working together, we offer compassionate support and safe housing choices for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

The Starr Career Development Center advances the mission and goals of Baruch College by providing leadership on, and delivery of, diverse and inclusive career and professional development programs and services for undergraduate students. Starr supports student career readiness by providing opportunities to define career goals, engage in experiential learning, and gain professional experience. The Center also develops mutually beneficial partnerships with Baruch faculty and staff, alumni, employers, and community partners, which facilitates the growth and success of a diverse talent pipeline. As a result, students can acquire the tools and the confidence to independently engage in lifelong professional development and career management in a diverse and global workforce.

Since 1969, Girls Incorporated of Greater Indianapolis has offered gender-specific, educational programs for girls, ages 6-18. Our partnerships with schools and community organizations allow us to bring programs directly to girls where they live. Mission: Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold (SM)

Sheltering Wings provides emergency housing for survivors escaping domestic abuse. We build stable and independent lives through essential programs offered in a supportive and Christ-centered environment.

We provide a supportive home away from home for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and other area hospitals. To meet the varying needs of the families we serve, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana has three locations – the Ronald McDonald House at 435 Limestone St, just steps away from Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, as well as two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located inside the hospital. All locations include places for rest and relaxation as well as food, coffee and space for dining. Most importantly, families are always just steps away from their hospitalized child. As a nonprofit, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana is always looking for those willing to volunteer their time and talents to help families in need. From serving dinners at our Limestone House location to serving on our Young Professionals Board, there are many different ways to get involved.

Polly Panda Preschool began in 1984 and remains one of the only family-owned preschools in the Indianapolis area. We are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer a variety a full and part-time programs. Breakfast, two snacks and lunch are provided each day. We are a Paths to Quality provider and our team of educated and experienced teachers provide high quality early childhood learning environments. Children engage in learning through developmentally appropriate activities.
