King Steel is a structural steel fabricator located northeast of Atlanta, GA. Our accreditations include the American Institute of Steel Construction’s (AISC) certification of “BU: Certified Building Fabricator,” as well as the American Welding Society’s (AWS) certification of “Certified Welding Fabricator.” We employ a full-time AWS Certified CWI Level 2 UT and Level 2 MT inspector, as well as three other inspectors to ensure that the quality of fabrication meets or exceeds the requirements specified in the contract documents. Our facility has approximately 75,000 sf under roof, utilizing 4 overhead cranes with capacities ranging from 10 to 25 tons, as well as several CNC machines to perform operations such as drilling, plasma cutting, punching, milling, sawing, and shearing. Our welders are all AWS certified, and we also have the capability to perform seismic welds per AWS D1.8. Categories of completed projects include commercial office buildings, data centers, sortation facilities, distribution centers, aerospace facilities, and manufacturing plants, as well as facilities in the education and healthcare sectors. We also perform heavy fabrication services including truss work, plate girders, and plate box members. We are adaptable to most all fabrication needs. Though King Steel self-performs our own structural steel fabrication, we also provide turnkey services including detailing, connection design, and the supply and installation of steel joists, metal deck, and miscellaneous metals including stairs and railings. In addition, we also provide assistance and guidance in pre-construction, including conceptual budgeting, estimating, design guidance, scheduling, and logistics planning. We fully embrace the “team approach” in providing these services, and have attained a great deal of success in doing so, as evidenced by several repeat and return customers. King Steel has proven ourselves to be a valuable part of any construction team.
