Peter W. Busch is a descendent of Adolphus Busch, the visionary brewer from the St. Louis based Anheuser-Busch Companies. In 1984, Peter moved to Fort Pierce to take up ownership of the local beer distributorship. At that time, Southern Eagle Distributing, Inc. (SED) consisted of a small warehouse and office with 28 employees. Today, after several expansion projects, Southern Eagle has 130,000 square feet of controlled environment warehouse/office space staffed with over 150 employees, "We've tripled in size and have grown in market share from 36 percent to 74.3 percent," Busch says. Over the past years, Peter and his hard working staff built what is now the Treasure Coast’s leading beverage distributor. Hard work, dedication and community involvement was the key to becoming what Southern Eagle is today. Philip A. Busch, son to Peter W.
