The Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has emerged as a nationally recognized leader in STEM-related and aerospace education through its various learning centers, outreach programs, scholarships, and summer camps aimed at engaging, educating and accelerating the next generation of aerospace professionals. The mission is to be Brevard's leader in mobilizing the caring power of our community. United Way of Brevard County was started in 1957 by a group of concerned individuals wanting to help those in need. They formed the Brevard County United Appeal and conducted their first county-wide fund drive in the early spring of 1958. Over $104,000 was raised, and 12 agencies received funding that first year. The annual campaign has grown over the years highlighted by the recent 2021 campaign, which raised over $5.6 million and supported more than 60 programs at 43 agencies.

American Academy of Optometry (AAO) has been enhancing excellence in optometric practice by fostering research and disseminating knowledge in vision science through the continuing education presented at its annual meeting. Fellows of the Academy are committed to the premise that learning is a lifelong obligation of a professional, as is the commitment to expand the profession’s knowledge base through ongoing Fellowship and exchange.

It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Central Florida Council provides youth development to boys age 6 through 17 in our Boy Scout program. Also, we serve teenagers 14 through 20 in our Venturing and Explorer program. Central Florida Council operates Learning for Life program in the Orange County Schools providing Character Building. Central Florida Council provides services to the following seven counties: Orange; Seminole; Osceola; Brevard; Volusia; Flagler and Lake Counties.

Founded in 1742, All Saints' is the oldest Episcopal parish in western Maryland. Parishioners of All Saints' have continually been the leaders in the community. Thomas Johnson, the first post-Colonial governor of Maryland, and Francis Scott Key, prominent attorney and author of the National Anthem, worshipped at All Saints. In 1793, All Saints' was the site of the first confirmation of an American citizen, by Bishop Thomas John Claggett, the first Episcopal Bishop consecrated on American soil. A few years after 1742, a small colonial building was constructed about four blocks from our present church, and served the parish for over sixty years. The replacement structure was built on Court Street in 1814, and is now used as parish hall and classrooms. In 1855, a handsome neo-gothic structure was designed by the noted 19th church architect Richard Upjohn. The steeple is one of the clusted spires of Frederick, cited in John Greenleaf Whittier's poem, Barbara Fritchie. The 20th century brought about a growth in membership and relative stability. Through it all we remain firmly committed to the Episcopal Church. It appears that those things which have defined us during our history have not been our differences of opinion on the latest issues. Instead, our ability to evolve enables us to continue serving God and God’s people.

On March 8, 1975, International Women’s Day, the Women’s Center, Inc. opened its doors at 808 Carolina Street in Melbourne, Florida, and on September 4, 1975, the Women’s Center became an authenticated non-profit organization. The Women’s Center takes pride in its progressive vision of women’s issues. It is a well-established, United Way agency that has, since its inception, consistently provided quality services to women and their families in Brevard County, Florida. Additionally, the Women’s Center partners with educational institutions in the community to provide learning opportunities for those clients interested in expanding their employment potential. Now located at 1425 Aurora Road, Melbourne, the Women’s Center is growing to be more than just a warm inviting place for women in the community to go for their counseling and supportive needs. During the past decade, the Women’s Center has grown to become a multi-service agency dedicated to providing comprehensive services to meet the needs of women and their families in crisis and transition. Services are designed to target the cause of the crisis, not just the symptoms.
