The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. (AAAPP) is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit agency serving seniors and their caregivers in Pasco and Pinellas counties in Florida since 1974. Designated by the Department of Elder Affairs as the Area Agency on Aging for Planning and Service (PSA) Area 5, the agency’s focus is on funding, advocacy, services and programs for seniors in the two-county area of west central Florida. The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. traces its origins to 1974, when the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) assumed authority for the first Area Agency on Aging to cover Pasco and Pinellas counties. From 1974 until 2000, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council operated as the designated Area Agency on Aging for Planning & Service Area (PSA) 5. In the fall of 2000, the Area Agency on Aging separated from TBRPC and became a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. Currently, the AAAPP is one of eleven Area Agencies on Aging in Florida, and there are over 600 nationwide. Each AAA is responsible for administering a network of community and in-home services for older persons within their assigned PSA. Our Mission: Advocate, educate and serve seniors and their caregivers in partnership with the community.

The 170 acre campus, comprised of a public golf course and driving range, serves as a living classroom for the students to increase their knowledge of the world. - Golf: Students learn core values and life lessons seamlessly through golf with The First Tee of Clearwater curriculum. - Horticulture: Students maintain gardens on campus with a volunteer who works with each class on growing vegetables that the students can later pick and eat. - Native Bird Boxes: Students along with Native Bird Boxes owner Brian Beckner, built 22 bird boxes for the golf club’s campus. Students help monitor the boxes as a part of their science curriculum. - Shadow Program: Students get to spend time with adults in every department of the Golf Club and Foundation. While learning about the various jobs, the children see how basic educational skills like math and reading are used on an everyday basis.
