Love A Child is a non-profit Christian Humanitarian Organization reaching out and helping thousands of people living in the country of Haiti. Bobby and Sherry Burnette, founders, live in Haiti at the Love A Child Orphanage. We are working to spread the word of God and show the love of Jesus by example, as we minister to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. Our outreach programs include 18+ Love A Child schools, where we educate and feed over 8,000 children each day, and food distribution programs that feed thousands of Haitian families. With the help of our partners, we establish churches in villages, hold remote medical clinics and oversee many other projects to benefit the poor in Haiti.

In continuous operation since 1972, Youth Haven is Southwest Florida’s only residential and emergency shelter for boys and girls ages 10-19 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Youth Haven envisions a day when every child in Southwest Florida will grow up in a safe and nurturing family environment. A 18.5-acre therapeutic campus offers around-the-clock specialized care for children and teens. Services include: nutritious meals, clothing, educational support, medical care, dental care, mental health care, therapy and counseling, and more; all in a homelike environment. Youth Haven provides three main comprehensive programs: The Emergency & Residential Shelter (Cottages); the Homeless Teen & Transitional Living Program (HTTLP); and the Counseling Center. The Cottages provide a home, instill hope and create a safe place to help children in the child welfare system begin to heal. The HTTLP is the only program in Collier County for teens experiencing homelessness and in need of assistance in their transition to adulthood. The program provides intensive case management with a strengths-based approach that meets the individual needs of youth and encourages them to set and pursue their own goals. The Counseling Center is open to the public and offers mental health services to children, adolescents and families in the community. The Mission of Meals of Hope is “To inspire and empower communities to come together to end hunger.” We believe it is our job to feed people. Meals of Hope began as a food packing organization, and we are the only food packing organization with a priority on keeping the food packed within the United States. We developed five meals specifically designed for the American palate with added vitamins, minerals and proteins to supplement an unbalanced diet.
