Facilitated resolution for employee relations and performance issues, including grievances, disputes, disciplinary actions, EEOC charges, FMLA, and ADA accommodations. Led negotiations for multi-year contracts and communicated with all levels of employees and management to reach confidential resolutions and settlements.  Led, researched, wrote and presented proposals for numerous multi-million dollar contract negotiations that brought together differing points of view and reached successful solutions.  Mediated hundreds of complaints between employees to employees and employees to managers. Listened to both sides to fully understand the issues, researched, investigated and documented interactions to arrive at sound resolutions in agreement with policies and procedures.  Trained 100+ managers and employees on new laws and their implications on compensation and educated employees on the new salary structures.

The Florida Healthy Kids Corporation offers health and dental insurance for children ages 5 through 18. The Corporation is one of four Florida KidCare partners and is run by a Board of Directors that includes doctors, a dentist, hospital representatives, advocates, and state agency representatives. The mission for the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation is to ensure the availability of child-centered health plans that provide comprehensive, quality healthcare services. Healthy Kids coverage includes doctor visits, immunizations, dental care, emergency care, hospital stays and much more. Most families pay just $15 or $20. Full-pay options also are available, making every Florida child ages 5 through 18 eligible.

The Florida Retail Federation is the statewide trade association representing retailers - the businesses that sell directly to consumers. Florida retailers provide one out of every five jobs in the state, pay more than $49 billion in wages annually, and collect and remit more than $20 billion in sales taxes for Florida’s government each year.

The Florida Behavioral Health Association (FBHA) is a statewide trade association that represents approximately 70 community mental health and substance use treatment providers throughout the entire state. FBHA’s members span from Pensacola to Key West, serve over 600,000+ individuals each year, and provide services in every county in Florida. These community providers primarily serve the uninsured, underinsured, and the Medicaid populations.

We affect policy and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and their supports through education, advocacy and partnerships. The Florida Developmental Disabilities Council was established in 1971 to help plan individual and family-centered supports for persons with disabilities in Florida.

Working with local, state and national partners, The Arc of Florida advocates for local chapters, public policies, and high quality supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be fully included in all aspects of their community.
