EDYTH BUSH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, INC
EDYTH BUSH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, INC
Winter Park, Florida
1-24 employees
Edyth Bush established the Foundation in 1973 to alleviate human suffering and to help people help themselves. She was particularly interested in working with children and began granting funds to education and human service organizations in Central Florida. Edyth and her trusted advisors, who traveled with her from Minnesota to her new hometown of Winter Park, Florida, were steeped in the rich history and traditions of Midwestern philanthropy. Over time, it became clear that one of their most important roles would be to help strengthen the caring community in Florida by connecting philanthropists across the state and by providing management assistance for nonprofit leaders. Nearly half a century later, the Foundation’s best work is helping nonprofit organizations be better managed, governed and led. Guided by Edyth's vision, the Foundation remains dedicated to helping needy individuals and families, and continues to inspire thoughtful collaborations to address the community’s most pressing needs.
