The Alliance for Aging, Inc., a private, not-for-profit agency, serves the most vulnerable of our population... the elderly, for whom time has been both a blessing and a challenge. Designated as the area agency on aging in 1988, we provide comprehensive information and access to quality services for older adults and their families in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties by funding home and community-based services that help keep people at home and out of nursing homes. While there are programs in place, it is not nearly enough and we need corporate and individuals to help us to achieve our mission and our goals.

Mission Statement To provide the resources, advocacy, leadership, coordination and oversight for early care and education from birth to school-age and to support access to school-age care to ensure children's success in school. Vision Statement It is the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County, Inc.'s vision that all children in Broward County will enter kindergarten socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and behaviorally ready to learn and families will have comprehensive early care and education services readily available to them in order to be stable and strong. Background Since 2000, following the ratification of Florida Statute 411.01, the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County, Inc. (formerly Broward County School Readiness Coalition, Inc.) has been dedicated to the implementation of an integrated, high-quality, seamless early care and education service delivery system for children. The Coalition is accountable for assessing the early care and educational resources available in Broward County as well as developing local plans to address identified needs. The Coalition’s role is to develop and administer a comprehensive school readiness program that prepares children to succeed in school and in life, as described in the Local School Readiness Coalition Plan as approved by the Office of Early Learning. This in an ongoing process that involves building on existing services, working in cooperation with other programs for young children and coordinating and integrating program funding and services to achieve efficiency, accountability and full effectiveness. The Coalition receives the majority of its funding directly from Florida's Office of Early Learning. Some funds are then awarded to community organizations and service providers to perform customer services. The Coalition touches the lives of thousands of Broward County children and families. While funding does not cover all of the identified unmet needs, we are constantly looking for innovative, additional funding sources. The Coalition strives to use all of its resources in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Gift of Life Marrow Registry facilitates blood stem cell and bone marrow transplants for children and adults battling life-threatening diseases, including leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell and other genetic disorders. Gift of Life is a leading national bone marrow and stem cell registry that serves patients all over the world seeking donors for transplants. It was founded during the grass roots efforts to save the life of New Jersey leukemia patient Jay Feinberg, and has grown to become a leading global registry. Gift of Life is accredited by the World Marrow Donor Association, and is an affiliate donor registry of the National Marrow Donor Program and participant in the international Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide registry. Gift of Life added an in-house apheresis center in 2019 and cellular therapy laboratory in 2020, ensuring its commitment to quality and consistency every step of the way.

Katz Yeshiva High School of South Florida is Florida’s largest Modern Orthodox high school, serving the many Jewish communities of the region. With near to 400 students and over 70 faculty members, our school community is actively engaged in the process of learning and character development. AlphaNet has a mission. The heart of this mission is simple — to improve the lives of individuals affected by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. As a not-for-profit organization that is governed by, employs and serves Alphas, AlphaNet is uniquely able to develop and offer programs and services based on a very personal understanding of how Alpha-1 affects the lives of Alphas. JARC Florida is a nonsectarian organization which provides group homes, apartments and vocational training for adults with development disabilities. The mission in partnership with the families of the clients is to promote independence dignity and self-respect in order to create more fulfilling lives.
