We’re a global girls’ rights organization. Powered by supporters, we partner with adolescent girls and their communities to overcome oppression and gender inequality. We provide the resources that are unique to their needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential with dignity, opportunity and safety. Our unique development approach is called GirlEngage. We let girls become the drivers of the change they want and need in their lives. It is a strategy focused on adolescent girls ages 10-18 that makes it possible for girls themselves to lead our programs – from designing projects, to leading activities, to measuring success.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast.

CEA is the largest advocate for students and public education in Connecticut. Our members include preschool through grade 12 teachers in Connecticut public schools as well as retired teachers and college students preparing to become teachers.

Inspired by the deep meaning and joy offered by Jewish living, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (The HGF) helps people connect to Jewish values, faith, traditions, and culture, and build vibrant Jewish communities. The project aims to inspire Jewish conversation, instill pride, and spark creativity among diverse audiences and ages • JCamp180 works to strengthen the infrastructure of Jewish camps throughout North America by providing mentor services in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, and technology • The Life & Legacy program offers an incentivized path to help communities secure meaningful after-lifetime legacy gifts for the future of their Jewish communal organizations • The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation (HGCF) provides philanthropic support primarily in Western Massachusetts. Programs include the Entrepreneurship Initiative, Local Farmer Awards, Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards, and ener-G-save.

In partnership with our member agencies, as well as government and community leaders, we work to ensure that no one in Rhode Island goes hungry. We envision a day when everyone in Rhode Island has access to nutritious food through an efficient and sustainable acquisition and distribution network. What We Do Since 1982, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has solicited, stored and distributed surplus food and grocery products to qualified member agency programs that serve Rhode Island's hungry. Millions of pounds of donated food and nonfood household products are distributed to the community through our network of 160 member agency food programs across Rhode Island. Additional Programs The Food Bank also serves Rhode Islanders in need through the following programs: Community Kitchen - A food service training course. Community Kitchen students prepare meals for the Kids Cafe, which serves evening meals to children at risk of hunger. Community Cooking - Wholesome Eating on A Budget is a nutrition education program for food pantry clients designed to empower them to make healthier choices on a limited budget.
