We are a group of adult pulmonologists, intensivists, sleep specialists, and hospitalists who have practiced in the Denver Metro area since 1995. We provide inpatient medical care at the Medical Center of Aurora, Sky Ridge Medical Center, Littleton Adventist Hospital, North Suburban Hospital, Vibra LTAC, and Spalding Rehabilitation hospital. We also provide comprehensive outpatient consultation regarding pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders in our outpatient clinics located in Aurora, Greenwood Village, Thornton, and Hugo. We are passionate about providing compassionate, high quality, evidenced based, medical care for the patients we serve. In order to delivery optimal care, the practice of medicine requires a coordinated effort between physicians, nurses, other allied health professionals, administrators, and insurance providers. The physicians at CCPC are dedicated to working closely with other members of the health care delivery team in providing you the best care possible. MODERN MEDICAL PRACTICE: We have been at the forefront of implementing evidence based “Leap Frog” guidelines within our ICUs. Our protocols optimize inpatient care for conditions such as respiratory failure, septic shock, pneumonia, congestive heart failure, post- operative medical management, and other medical conditions. Prevention of hospital acquired conditions is a priority for our physicians. We work closely with hospital quality management teams to ensure compliance with measures such as deep venous thrombosis prophylaxis, decubitus pressure wound prevention, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, central line infection prevention, urinary catheter associated infection prevention, and delirium minimization.

In 1995 the leading ear, nose, and throat doctors in Colorado Springs came together to form Colorado Otolaryngology Associates (COA). At that time, the practice was comprised of the following six doctors: Drs. Ernster, Hohengarten, Knox, Pruitt, Olson and Romett. Initially, the doctors practiced in a number of separate locations, but, in 2000, they combined into a single office in the Audubon Medical Campus at Union and Circle. That same year, Dr. Galloway joined the practice. In 2006, two of the founding doctors of COA, Drs. Hohengarten and Olson, retired. Dr. Davis joined COA in 2007, and in 2008, to meet the increasing needs of a growing Colorado Springs, COA opened a second location in the NorthCare Pavilion adjacent to the St. Francis Medical Center at Woodmen and Powers. In 2011, COA merged with Drs. Cichon, Smith, and Yohanan of the Colorado Center for Otolaryngology to form Colorado ENT & Allergy (CENT&A). In 2014, Dr. Whinery joined CENT&A, and in 2017 CENT&A and Drs. Baswell and Caplan of Colorado Springs Allergy & Asthma Clinic merged together. At the end of 2017, one of the founding members, Dr. Romett, retired, and Dr. Baswell retired in mid-2018. Dr. Keller joined the practice in the fall of 2018, and Dr. Yohanan retired at the end of the same year. Dr. Pruitt, one of the founding members, retired in mid-2018. In the fall of 2020, two physicians joined the practice: Dr. Webber, an allergist, and Dr. Beckmann, an ENT. In the spring of 2021, CENT&A closed its NorthCare location and opened up its St. Peregrine office. Combined with Audubon, the two main locations have over 24,000 square feet of clinical space to serve the Southern Colorado community. The practice currently consists of 3 locations, 9 ENT doctors, 2 Allergy & Asthma doctors, 1 nurse practitioner, 4 audiologists, and nearly 70 clinical and administrative staff members.

At Southern Colorado Clinic (SCC), we wish to provide all our patients with quality medical services from our primary care providers, specialists and ancillary services. Because we are a group practice with electronic medical records (EMR), all our medical records are integrated throughout the clinic. Therefore if you receive services in one area, another provider can easily review your chart. This helps to coordinate medical care and improve communications amongst our doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physical therapists. In addition we provide walk-in x-ray services and densitometry without leaving the main building. If you are a current patient you can log-in through the Patient Portal which provides for a secure connection as a convenient way to communicate to our practices. You can use the Patient Portal to make appointments, request Rx refills, view your lab results, and pay your bill on-line. We offer 3 locations for Urgent Care walk-in service which provide 11-hour coverage 7-days a week for your urgent medical care needs such as broken bones, sprains, lacerations, injuries, and common illnesses. We also can provide additional services such as sport, school or work physicals.
