We provide leading-edge services that create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and their families in Colorado to participate fully in the community. Quality, dignity and choice are the values of DDRC. Almost 3500 people with developmental disabilities (dd) look to Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) for resource coordination. Developmental disabilities include but are not limited to intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrom and Epilepsy. Individuals receiving our services range in age from infants through people in their 80s and live in Jefferson, Gilpin, Clear Creek and Summit counties.

North Metro is one of 20 Community Centered Boards serving people with developmental disabilities in Colorado. North Metro serves as the single point of entry for services to eligible people in Adams County (not including the city of Aurora). Unfortunately, the State of Colorado does not automatically provide services for all persons that meet the eligibility requirements. People who apply after graduating from high school, move to Colorado from another state, or wait until they are older to request services will be assigned to a waiting list. Funding for services is provided by the State of Colorado and the Federal government through Medicaid Waivers. Services are available in two categories for adults. Comprehensive Services provide an out-of-the-home living arrangement, medical care, transportation, day and employment services based on each individual's level of need. Support Services provide a choice of activities and supports within a specific level of funding for each person. Other support services are available for children - Early Intervention, Children's Extensive Support Services and Family Support. North Metro is a community partner with other organizations that provide care and services for persons who meet eligibility requirements. Adams County Social Services, Community Reach, our County Commissioners, School Districts, and the Adams County Housing Authority help extend services by working with and supporting North Metro. In addition, a variety of Service Agencies are available to consumers through the Community Centered Board for Adams County. Most importantly, North Metro provides strong advocacy for people with developmental disabilities. We are committed to protection of human rights, respectful relationships and individualized care.

Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) was founded in 1978 and was known as the Colorado Food Clearing House. Operating from a 900-square-foot schoolroom in northwest Denver, the fledgling organization collected food from nearby Safeway stores and distributed it to one agency. Today, FBR has extended its reach across Northern Colorado and Wyoming, providing food supplies to more than 600 hunger-relief programs. Since 1978, FBR has provided food for families in need. Last year, we distributed nearly 49 million meals, enough to provide more than 134,000 meals each day. Food Bank of the Rockies is a BBB accredited charity and holds a 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. 96¢ of every dollar we receive goes toward our hunger relief programs. The Adams County Communication Center, also known as ADCOM911, is a non-profit Police and Fire/EMS Dispatch Center located in Adams County employing state of the art equipment and technology for phone, radio, and mobile communications. ADCOM911 currently serves a population of approximately 460,000 citizens, through both emergency 911 calls and non-emergency phone calls. In 2013, ADCOM911 processed over 300,000 requests for service based on citizen calls. To date in 2014, ADCOM911 has generated over 181,000 requests for service, making ADCOM911 one of the largest and busiest emergency call centers in the State of Colorado. It is ADCOM's vision to become the premier, public-safety communications center in the State of Colorado.

The mission of Kids First Health Care is to improve the health and well-being of infants, children and youth through providing primary and preventative health services in partnership with schools and other community organizations. Kids First is a non-profit organization created specifically to meet the health care needs of children ages birth to 21 throughout Adams County. Current services include: • Primary health care • Immunization clinics • Preventive dental health services • Health education on topics like nutrition, obesity, and reproductive health • Behavioral health screening and referrals • Enrollment assistance into Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) • School nursing services in two Adams County school districts Since 1978, Kids First has provided more than 185,000 health care visits for about 71,000 children. In 2018, Kids First saw the following results across all sites: • 10,244 health care visits were provided to 3,965 infants, children and youth.  • 2,221 children and adolescents received immunizations  • 3,154 behavioral health counseling visits were provided to children and teens • 546 families were assisted in applying for Medicaid, CHP+, and the Kids First sliding fee scale, resulting in 1,038 children having increased access to health care.

Nutritious food is medicine for people facing illness. It can improve their health and well-being, help keep them out of the hospital, and decrease their medical costs. Unfortunately, many are too sick to get to the store or find they have to choose between food and medicine to make ends meet. That's why Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals for Coloradans living with life-threatening illnesses. Each week, our professional chefs and registered dietitian prepare thousands of fresh meals and tailor them to meet the medical and dietary needs of those who are ill. Loving volunteers package and deliver each meal, free of charge, to neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney/heart/lung disease, and other illnesses in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Group Mission Trips is the 501(c)(3) non-profit mission ministry of Group Cares that creates mission trip experiences to serve others in a way that transforms communities and helps participants, residents, and partners grow closer to Jesus. Our short-term mission trips are designed to partner with communities and volunteers through service to the elderly, homeless, low-income, and areas affected by natural disasters. Over the past thirty years, we've sent nearly half a million people who have dedicated millions of volunteer hours serving people in need through our unique mission trip experiences. Many people in the United States are unable to perform basic home repairs that keep their property safe. One of our programs provides volunteers and materials to complete home repair projects for the elderly, veterans, and disabled people free of charge. Another program we have works alongside 100 different community-based non-profits and provides volunteers to help them carry out their mission. Lastly, we serve in 10 countries around the world. We partner with local agencies and provide volunteers, materials, and support to carry out various services, including home repair, home construction, spiritual support, and friendship to those in need. All these years later, one constant remains true: We strongly believe in providing opportunities for youth to encounter Jesus through serving others either in their own backyard or halfway across the globe. In partnership with the community, Growing Home advances equity in food, housing, parenting education, and lifelong stability to create lasting change for the future. We take a holistic, dual generation approach to fighting poverty, addressing both the immediate and long-term needs of families in our community. Using a collaborative model that engages the community in providing emergency/safety-net services, we also work to understand and address the root causes of social problems such as homelessness, hunger, and the achievement gap of low-income children. Since 1998, when we began offering a community based shelter for families, Growing Home has continued to expand, enhance, and amplify its services to better fulfill our mission to guide children and their families on the path to a brighter future.

The Food Bank for Larimer County's mission is to provide food to all in need through community partnerships and hunger-relief programs. In 2020, the Food Bank for Larimer County provided more than 10.5 million pounds of food to low-income residents through three primary programs: Fresh Food Share, Nutritious Kitchen and Nourishing Network. Our Fresh Food Share pantries are client-choice, meaning clients get to select the food that is right for them and their families. With locations in Fort Collins and Loveland, each pantry offers a selection of purchased, donated and government food to income qualifying individuals. In an average year, our pantries will see an average of 200,000 client visits. The Nutritious Kitchen prepares an average of 175,000 nutritious meals and snacks annually for children and seniors in our community, while our Nourishing Network works with more than 100 nonprofit partner agencies to provide food to the clients they serve. These organizations include food pantries, soup kitchens, after school programs and domestic violence shelters among others. An estimated 37,500 Larimer County residents receive assistance from the Food Bank each year.
