Energy Outreach Colorado is the only statewide non-profit that raises funds to help low-income Coloradans afford home energy and remain warm and safe in their homes. The mission of Kids First Health Care is to improve the health and well-being of infants, children and youth through providing primary and preventative health services in partnership with schools and other community organizations. Kids First is a non-profit organization created specifically to meet the health care needs of children ages birth to 21 throughout Adams County. Current services include: • Primary health care • Immunization clinics • Preventive dental health services • Health education on topics like nutrition, obesity, and reproductive health • Behavioral health screening and referrals • Enrollment assistance into Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) • School nursing services in two Adams County school districts Since 1978, Kids First has provided more than 185,000 health care visits for about 71,000 children. In 2018, Kids First saw the following results across all sites: • 10,244 health care visits were provided to 3,965 infants, children and youth.  • 2,221 children and adolescents received immunizations  • 3,154 behavioral health counseling visits were provided to children and teens • 546 families were assisted in applying for Medicaid, CHP+, and the Kids First sliding fee scale, resulting in 1,038 children having increased access to health care.

The Adaptive Sports Center provides you with one of the most qualified instructor teams in the industry. All of our winter and summer instructors are professionally certified through education associations like Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. The average tenure of an instructor at the Adaptive Sports Center is over seven years and many have shunned the traditional desk job and year-round employment, skillfully and deliberately to turn their seasonal work at the Adaptive Sports Center into full-fledged careers. Also, many of the people behind the scenes organizing the programs are Certified Recreational Thearapists with extensive backgrounds in therapeutic recreation services. Unfortunately, many are too sick to get to the store or find they have to choose between food and medicine to make ends meet. That's why Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals for Coloradans living with life-threatening illnesses. Each week, our professional chefs and registered dietitian prepare thousands of fresh meals and tailor them to meet the medical and dietary needs of those who are ill. Loving volunteers package and deliver each meal, free of charge, to neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney/heart/lung disease, and other illnesses in Denver and Colorado Springs.
