Is your business going through PUBERTY? If you’re like a lot of the business owners we work with, you might be feeling like you’re in an awkward growing stage where your business is starting to grow and you’re experiencing some growing pains. Maybe you’re starting to wonder if you have the right advisors around you working together as a coordinated team. Maybe you’re realizing you’ve outgrown your current CPA or other advisor who is giving you juvenile advice without being proactive or their recommendations simply no longer apply to your growing business. At K2 Business Group, we call this phase--BUSINESS PUBERTY! It’s that awkward phase in business where you’re moving from the innocence of a start-up to a creature full of hormones, pimples, and is beginning to sprout facial hair. At this point you’ve had a few good dates, made some money and you see a whole big wide world of possibilities spread out before you and the future looks bright—BUT you just don’t know how to move from Teen Magazine to the cover of GQ. Enter Your own personal BOARD OF DIRECTORS! Now look, the first thing to realize here is that traditional BUSINESS COACHING IS DEAD! Everyone is trying to pitch you on the latest and greatest high-ticket coaching, consulting, or course offer with that ONE THING to take you from ZERO to HERO and explode your business. We’ve all seen the ads right? The conventional business coaching model has become outdated, more costly, and less effective. Having your own board of directors can produce massively better results in growing your business, minimizing your taxes, and generating more income with less risk. In fact, in the first 14 days, the board of directors' approach will likely reduce your taxes and infuse your business with extra cash. It will also set you on the path to a self-sustaining business capable of operating with or without you. The “board of directors” approach will also ensure you get top dollar on the sale of your business.

EcoFlight educates and advocates for the protection of remaining wild lands and wildlife habitat using small aircraft. The aerial perspective and our educational programs encourage an environmental stewardship ethic among citizens of all ages. Founded in 2002, EcoFlight provides a commanding platform to the tremendous challenges we are facing in conservation in the twenty-first century. The objective aerial perspective helps passengers become good practitioners of their tasks and encourages them to learn from one another in order to advance conservation campaigns. EcoFlight is devoted to connecting people and organizations in the plane. Facilitating dialogue in the plane provides a rapid way to share ideas with over 400+ different conservation partners, from grass-roots to national organizations, working to ensure the long-term protection of wildlands and wildlife habitat, and, in the process, working to halt climate change across the West. Flights will be used to connect diverse groups, even those with opposing opinions, to help share ideas that will promote effective land conservation tools and strategies. Flights with diverse passenger loads will help inspire collaboration between unlikely partners, and communicate values important to all Americans, those associated with clean water, fishing, hunting and hiking, and those acknowledging the value of cultural and historical landscapes. Conservation is a bipartisan issue. Flights emphasize why fossil fuels should stay in the ground, and ensure that renewable energy siting does not affect wildlife or wild lands. Overflights will empower and impact passengers and will ultimately serve to strengthen the land conservation movement in the West, leading to more durable and effective resource protection.

America Succeeds mission is to improve educational opportunities, outcomes, and equity by harnessing the influence and acumen of the business community in accelerating systems change. We are uniquely positioned between business and the education policy sector – acting as an “education voice to business” nationally and a “business voice for education” at the state-level. For the past 40 years, the primary purpose of our schools has been to maximize academic achievement. However, over that time, the world has greatly changed. We believe the purpose of schools today is to ensure students can think critically and creatively, collaborate effectively, apply skills and knowledge to solving real problems, and find meaningful, fulfilling ways to contribute to the world and their community. America Succeeds’ initiatives are designed to help education systems meet this purpose while maximizing equity, access, and opportunity for all students. Our advocacy efforts are aimed at broader culture change and our policy efforts focus on systems change and preparing every student to succeed in the competitive global economy and contribute to their local community. The power of this approach lies within connecting business leaders to a network of state partners who share America Succeeds’ mission and values. Network participants derive value through affinity and proximity to other partners as well as our ongoing efforts to support new and developing business-in-education organizations that can accelerate the network’s collective goals.
