For over twenty years, Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center has provided an extensive and always-expanding array of health care services to the Spanish Peaks region and beyond. We serve patients through a collection of health care offerings, including a critical access hospital, emergency room, two family clinics, women’s clinic, specialty clinic, and a well-equipped medical transportation division. Our extensive services include specialty practices, surgery, physical and occupational therapies, laboratory service, imaging advanced and much more. We’re located in scenic Southern Colorado, with majestic peaks framing our primary campus on U.S. Highway 160, just three miles west of I-25. Under a contract with the State of Colorado, Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is operated by the Huerfano County Hospital District, a Colorado Special District, directed by a five-member, county-elected Board of Directors.

Rocky Mountain Eye Center's current, seven board certified ophthalmologists diagnose, treat and help to prevent diseases of the eye. Our ophthalmologists complete annual eye examinations, perform surgical procedures, assist in specific areas of eye care and prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses. Rocky Mountain Eye Center is Southeastern Colorado's only LASIK surgery center. Our eight optometrists are available to assist with your family's optometric needs. We have a trained optical staff who can provides assistance with the variety of eye care products available at any one of our optical shops. Our doctors treat eye diseases such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration along with other common or unique eye conditions. Other common eye conditions and diseases that our doctors treat regularly include dry eye syndrome, corneal and external disease, vitreoretinal disease, pediatric ophthalmology and oculoplastic conditions.
