Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake and the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House. The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House helps children and their families by providing an atmosphere where families can rest, reflect, and find mutual support. This home-away-from-home provides shelter and comfort to families who must travel to the Sacramento-area in order to receive medical treatment for their child. The House offers family members of seriously ill and injured children a refuge from the hospital setting. Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake is a fully accessible, residential summer camp for children who are ‘at-risk’ with a variety of special medical needs, economic hardship and/or emotional, developmental or physical disabilities. Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association. While local McDonald’s restaurants provide generous support to Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California, the majority of financial contributions come from community donations, special events, and corporate sponsorships.
