Central Valley Medical Center (CVMC) is a leader among rural health care facilities. The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) listed CVMC in the top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in America. Stanislaus Surgical Hospital is a physician owned hospital that opened its doors as an ambulatory surgery center in 1985*. As one of the first Surgery Centers, Stanislaus set the mark for service and efficiency. In 1998, shareholders voted to convert the Surgery Center into an acute care hospital.
