PIONEER BANK & TRUST
PIONEER BANK & TRUST
Spearfish, South Dakota
100-499 employees
As the sun rose over the eastern buttes of Harding County, arguably the harshest region of South Dakota, brothers F.M. and H.W. Clarkson had already been in the pasture tending their sheep for an hour. The Clarksons were hard working men who were known for their fairness and their willingness to help neighbors. In fact, it was just those qualities that would help them create what was to become Western South Dakota’s premier agricultural and business bank. In 1913, they formalized their practice of helping neighbors by establishing a bank in the prairie town of Buffalo. In 1937, the brothers expanded and founded the Bank of Belle Fourche. From those humble beginnings Pioneer Bank & Trust grew to become one of the safest banks in America. In 1956, we expanded our service capabilities by establishing a full service Trust Department. Pioneer’s Trust Department offers complete trust and estate planning, plus investments. The next branch opened was in Spearfish, then in Rapid City. With the new regional presence it was time for a new, appropriate name, and in 1986 Pioneer Bank & Trust was born! As the bank grew and our locations became diversified we decided to centralize our administration, operations and computer technology in a new Administration Center in Spearfish. And in 2011, we added a sixth Pioneer Bank location in Sturgis. Today, Pioneer Bank & Trust offers a varied and complete assortment of state-of-the-art banking products and services. Although we believe our products are highly competitive in today’s high-tech banking world, it is our hometown, personal service that is responsible for our significant growth. This is reaffirmed continually by the direct feedback we receive from customers!

FIRST NORTHERN BANK OF WYOMING
Buffalo, Wyoming

First Northern Bank of Wyoming was founded in 1885 on the bedrock principle that our success would be solely dependent on that of our community and customers. From our origins in a humble, wood frame building with a starting capital of $50,000, to our continuous growth throughout the last century and to the present, we have never shifted from that perspective. And we never will, because this commitment has guided us to provide financial tools and solutions that have fulfilled needs, solved problems, secured futures and made dreams come true. To us, being known as a community bank is a badge of honor because we believe there is no better place to be than in a position to serve friends, neighbors and businesses in an area that is home to us all.

UNIWYO FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
UNIWYO FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Laramie, Wyoming
50-99 employees
UniWyo Credit Union was formed by nine University of Wyoming employees, and chartered in 1953. Oscar "Jack" Hendrix was elected the first president, Larry Clark the first treasurer. It was several years before the credit union grew large enough to have paid employees and a permanent location. During it's first few decades, the credit union operated from the Wyoming Student Union, Graduate Hall (now known-as McWhinnie Hall), and eventually Knight Hall. In 1980, UniWyo Credit Union built its first location off of the UW Campus. The 15th Street facility was also the first office owned by the credit union. As credit union membership grew during the 1980s and 1990s, so did the lobby and drive-through. Between 1999 and 2001, UniWyo gave more than $1,000,000 in bonus dividends back to its member owners. The credit union's continued growth and success meant it needed more space, so in 2005, UniWyo built and moved into its Reynolds Street Location. Although UniWyo had moved off campus, the credit union retained strong ties to the University. In 2005, UniWyo pledged $1,000,000 to the UW Foundation. A portion of its money continues to fund annual UW scholarships for UniWyo members. As part of the contribution agreement, UniWyo opened an on-campus branch on 2007, in McWhinnie Hall - returning to one of its earliest locations. In 2015, UniWyo acquired office space on Grand Avenue directly across from the University of Wyoming and War Memorial Stadium. UniWyo also expanded to Cheyenne with a branch opening in 2020. Despite a steep decline in the Wyoming economy caused by the bust in coal, oil, and gas industries, UniWyo has continued to experience unprecedented growth in lending, with strong growth in assets and deposits as well. Today, the credit union continues to look for ways to grow, evolve, and better serve its members.

TRONA VALLEY COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
TRONA VALLEY COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Green River, Wyoming

Our Mission: Trona Valley Federal Credit Union is a caring partner dedicated to your financial success. We offer services and products in ten counties in Wyoming and Utah: Sweetwater, Sublette, Lincoln, Uinta, Carbon, and Teton Counties in Wyoming and Rich, Morgan, Summit, and Daggett Counties in Utah. A brief history of Trona Valley: During the 1960s in Southwest Wyoming, FMC Corporation was mining something called trona ore. Trona ore is used to make soda ash, which is a component in making products such as glass, laundry detergent, and baking soda. FMC Corporation was and still is the largest producer of trona ore in the world. After a significant number of employees were hired by FMC Corporation, the desire for a credit union became apparent. On July 16, 1963, FMC Employees Federal Credit Union was born. From 1963 to 1988, FMC Corporation was the only select employment group banking with FMC Employees Federal Credit Union. That all changed in 1989, when FMC Employees Federal Credit Union merged with Stauffer Big Island Federal Credit Union and became known as Trona Valley Federal Credit Union. Under our new name, we were able to add 79 select employment groups, increasing the size of membership significantly. In 1999, we received our community charter. This allowed us to serve any individual who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Southwest Wyoming. In 2012, we expanded once again serving ten counties. Over the years a lot has changed, but even more has stayed the same. When you come into Trona Valley Federal Credit Union, you can always count on personable, professional service with a smile. Our members are known by name.
