Glue-lam is made from second and third generation trees which are replanted to assure an ample supply of wood for generations to come. Growing trees convert green house gasses to oxygen and trees store carbon in their wood. Concrete, Steel and other metal building products are produce from ores taken from the ground, once gone they are gone forever. Even recycled metals use up to 10 times more energy to produce than wood. This extra energy production creates green house gases and greater pollution of the air and water.
