Managed human resources for all programs and activities under the direction of the Board of Directors, building and nurturing relationships with many similar agencies across Wisconsin. Supervised 55 direct reports and a total team of 250 staff, providing leadership and training.
Key Achievements:
• Succeeded in turning around the business from the brink of forced closure and developing into a vibrant agency known for outstanding service.
• Supported indigenous coffee growers to potentially import growers’ fair-trade coffee and other goods, traveling with Elders of the Ho Chunk Indian nation in 2003 to Mexico.
• Assisted Governor Doyle in 2005 on a trade mission to Mexico.
• Served as an Advisor to the Department of Natural Resource Disabilities Advisory Council over disability-related issues.
• Facilitated Mexican state of Querétaro and Agro Mercados to design a new agency called CAPAZ (Each Person’s Ability).
