Silver Leaf of Augusta is our assisted living facility nestled in the woods of North Augusta, adjacent to Augusta Health and Rehabilitation. SilverLeaf is a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). We are committed to, and legendary for, a high level of care with a personal approach. We accommodate the needs of every individual, making their experience as comfortable and memorable as possible. Residents at Augusta Health and Rehabilitation have three delicious meals prepared for them each day. We also have a chapel on-site for residents to utilize, as well as scheduled services for residents to attend to promote spiritual health. Additionally, Augusta Health and Rehabilitation has beautiful courtyards and outdoor spaces for our residents to enjoy. Park Manor, Ltd. is a 147 bed skilled nursing facility located in Park Falls, Wisconsin. Park Manor provides rehabilitation services to patients transitioning from hospital to home. We also provide long term care to patients needing care for dementia and terminal illnesses. Park Manor an ESOP whic employs 160 employees and is 100% employee owned.

How One Couple’s Philosophy Guides an Entire Company of Dedicated Caregivers: In the 1980s, Wendell and Muriel Brown, both nurses, opened their hearts and their home to a few individuals with mental challenges. As you would expect, they completed paperwork correctly, followed processes and procedures properly, and met state regulations. But they never lost sight of what mattered most to them—making sure the most vulnerable members of society received the caring support they need and deserve. They were passionate about it, and their residents loved them for it. When Wendell and Muriel retired, their daughter Carol Howard and her husband Terry began managing what had become an 8-bed CBRF. Carol and Terry’s son Christopher would soon join “Browns Living.” Since then, the family business has grown to provide management services to dozens of homes throughout the state that specialize in providing care to those with complex behaviors. While the Browns Living corporate structure provides professional support and oversight to the homes we manage, Wendell and Muriel’s philosophies continue to inspire every employee to treat all residents with the respect and care they deserve.
