Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The first Thrifty Wine & Spirits location was built in 1962 and has recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. The original owners were Roland Toups, James Melton, and Catherine Haynie. The primary focus was, and still is, to provide the best prices and the best selection of wine, spirits, beer, and tobacco. In the early days, the original location was operated by the owners themselves. However, as the Shreveport/Bossier market has increased in size and the number of store locations has increased, the operations of the owners have moved to a central office. Thrifty Discount Liqour & Wine currently employs approximately 150 people throughout the 15 store chain. In 1993, Thrifty was honored to be listed as one of the top 10 wine and spirit retailers in the United States by Beverage Dynamics.

FAIRPLAY, INC.
FAIRPLAY, INC.
Chicago, Illinois

Fair-Play Corporation Scoreboards Look straight ahead. Look right. Then look left. Fair-Play product designers noted that most people have a natural 100-degree range of motion that allows us to view scores comfortably. More extreme angles spell eye and neck strain—not the kind of experience you want for fans cheering on your team at the championship game. That observation led to Fair-Play’s development of the outdoor and indoor LED digit. It’s the only digit in the industry with a 100-degree horizontal viewing angle to provide exceptional readability. Fair-Play customers are a loyal—and vocal—bunch. And because our design and production facilities are housed under one roof in Hazelwood, Missouri, we’re able to respond quickly to their suggestions. Some of our best innovations over the years were inspired by customer feedback, such as: A three-step waterproofing process to protect outdoor digits from the damaging effects of water and humidity Wide amber digits (the widest you’ll find) for excellent readability during day and night games Digits up to three feet high for today’s super-sized playing fields An auto-dimming feature to adjust the display to changing light conditions Wireless scoreboard controls using spread spectrum technology to stop interference from cell phones and other electronic devices in its tracks Accent and trim tape to organize scoring statistics…standard on a Fair-Play board, an upcharge from other scoreboard manufacturers. It’s the little things that bring big benefits to the schools, colleges and municipalities that rely on Fair-Play. Want to check out the Fair-Play difference for yourself? One Kringle at a time. It’s how we approach, well, just about everything. Our third generation family business is all about making sure we bake the highest quality Kringle for our extended family-our customers. We're confident that once you experience authentic Racine Danish Kringles, your family will make it a tradition, just like ours. Our bakers begin early every morning to handcraft the flaky, buttery Danish pastry so many have come to know and love. Each handmade Kringle is filled with the highest quality fruit, nut or gourmet fillings and baked to perfection ready for you to share at holiday parties and special events, or to delight family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, and sometimes simply just because. We’re proud of our family bakery, and we work hard to continue to use the same time-honored recipe Danish bakers brought to Racine, Wisconsin in the late 1800s. Our third generation bakery was started over thirty years ago because we wanted to share our love of Kringle with the people of Wisconsin. Today, Kringle is our official state pastry, and shipped across the nation. We’re proud of our Kringle—it’s all we do, and want to share them with you, because with us…"It’s Not Just a Treat, It’s a Tradition.“ *Fundraising products for non-profit organizations, featuring: Kringles, Cookie Dough, Cheesecake, Pizza, and Coffee *Mail Order for Individual and Corporate Gifts. *Wholesale Kringle Sales to Grocery and Convenience Store Markets.
