Originally founded in 1988 in Birch River, West Virginia, Allegheny Surveys, Inc. is a land-surveying firm that provides the surveying and mapping needs of many Government, Corporate and Private Clients, both local and regional. Allegheny Surveys has since expanded with offices in Bridgeport and Charleston, WV. The firm specializes in all aspects of Surveying which include boundary surveys, control surveys, high-accuracy monitoring surveys, underground and surface mine surveys, construction surveys and topographic surveying. • Handling all Pre-Effectuation Review Conferences (PERC's) with the Social Security Administration to determine eligibility based on need as well as determining overpayments and Workers' Compensation reporting • Providing secretarial/clerical services to two attorneys to include typing briefs and motions as well as requesting files from the Social Security Administration and fielding telephone calls • Interpreting and recommending action based on established Federal law, policies and procedures regarding financial eligibility concerns • Creating checklists and processes to determine financial eligibility of potential clients prior to accepting the case and verifying eligibility at conclusion of case by cross-checking eligibility standards • Handling concerns and corresponding with clients regularly including scheduling appointments, intake, and assisting clients in filing appeals • Running monthly accounts receivable using Practice Master to keep track of attorney fees • Using the Internet and other methods to research a variety of materials associated with Social Security Disability and debt collection • Requesting medical records and completing requisitions for payments to be made for said medical records requests • Developing in-house procedures to utilize Fair Debt Collection Law and obtain payment from clients • Tracking and obtaining past-due benefits and attorney fees from the Social Security Administration
