There have never been more people seeking safety and so few places willing to protect and welcome them. More than 114 million people are fleeing persecution. Governments should be taking responsibility to support them, but instead, their responses are unacceptable. Founded more than 120 years ago, HIAS is there for refugees when and where they need help most. We are a Jewish humanitarian organization that works in the United States and 20+ other countries, providing vital services to refugees and asylum seekers of all faiths so they can rebuild their lives. With the Jewish community beside us, we also advocate for the rights of forcibly displaced people globally. Over our expansive history, we’ve confronted—and overcome—formidable challenges facing refugees. Today, we are a leader with the expertise, partnerships, and values necessary to respond to the global crisis. Refugees deserve a world in which they find welcome, safety, and opportunity. With you, we can create it. Learn more and take action at HIAS.org.

KABOOM! INC.
KABOOM! INC.
Bethesda, Maryland
50-99 employees
KABOOM! works with communities to build incredible, kid-designed playspaces that help give kids in every zip code the opportunity to thrive. Kids who don't have access to play miss out on childhood and are denied critical opportunities to build physical, social and emotional health. For more than two decades, we've teamed up with bold, inspiring partners and community members, starting with the kids themselves, to understand each neighborhood's unique aspirations. Then we build incredible places to play, inspired by their design, courage and leadership. Over the last 23 years, we've built or improved 17,000+ playspaces, engaged more than 1.5 million community members and brought joy to over 11 million kids. As we look to the future, we'll continue our efforts to build collective action and community opportunity, spark hope and enable kids to reach their full potential. And we promise that we won't stop until we put an end to playspace inequity. For good.

HEALTHWELL FOUNDATION, INC.
HEALTHWELL FOUNDATION, INC.

Our Mission: The HealthWell Foundation reduces financial barriers to care for underinsured patients with chronic or life-altering diseases. About Us: Founded in 2003, the HealthWell Foundation (www.healthwellfoundation.org) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing financial assistance to insured patients living with chronic and life-altering illnesses to help them afford their medical treatments. For many Americans, having health insurance does not mean being able to afford the critical medical treatments they desperately need. When health insurance is not enough, HealthWell assists in closing the gap. Thanks to our health care partners and generous corporate and individual donors, every day, we put life-saving medications within reach for hundreds of patients in need living with chronic and life-altering illnesses. We help pay their share of prescription drug copayments, deductibles, and health insurance premiums for important medical treatments. As patients are required to pay a larger share of health care costs each year, out-of-pocket expenses for essential medications can add up to hundreds or thousands of dollars a month - much more than many people earn. By reducing this financial stress, the people we serve can focus on what's most important - their health. Since inception, HealthWell has assisted more than 500,000 people with more than $1.67 billion in patient grants across 70 disease areas. All administrative and fundraising costs are financed by HealthWell, and 100% of donations fund patient grants and services.
