STANDARD PAINT AND FLOORING, LLC
STANDARD PAINT AND FLOORING, LLC
Yakima, Washington
51-200 employees
While traveling for a paint company out of Denver, CO, Richard R. Myers turned his dream into a reality in 1954 when he and his partners opened their own Benjamin Moore paint dealership in Yakima, WA. Dick quickly built a reputation in the community for offering exceptional personal service. With his knowledgeable staff and a selection of quality products, Standard Paint quickly became recognizable within the community for their service and style. After obtaining sole ownership in 1974, he expanded to a much needed larger facility on 3rd Ave, in Downtown Yakima. In 1980 Mr. Myers added floor covering and decorating products to his portfolio. In 1986 Dick Sr. retired, and his son, Dick Jr., took over. Under Jr.’s leadership, Standard Paint & Decorating (as it was known at the time) grew in the Yakima Area along with the Tri-Cities and Bend, OR communities. With the addition of the Design Studio in 1988 and it’s beautiful product displays the flooring and decorating side of the business became very strong. The Standard Paint’s brand and reputation continued to build trust and loyalty within their respective communities while offering these additional products and services. In 2006 Dick Jr.’s sons Regan and Craig Myers joined the Standard Paint & Flooring team to become the third generation of Myers’ owners. In 2012 Standard Paint & Flooring opened up their sixth store in Wenatchee, WA. Today Dick, Regan, Craig and the entire Standard Paint & Flooring family continue to rely on the same standard of offering quality products and personal service, making Standard Paint & Flooring a place “Where service is still in Style.“
